BROOKE HATHAWAY ANGST

Angst Learning Services founder, consultant & trainer

I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Texas A&M University and spent years teaching high-needs students in central Texas who exhibited many struggles with dysregulated behaviors. I attended Concordia University for a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Early Childhood, followed by additional graduate studies in Psychology Counseling at St. Edward’s University. I have worked as a training consultant for school districts across the country and managed advocacy programs for at-risk children and youth in the child welfare system. I am also a certified Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner and Educator through the Karyn Purvis Institute for Child Development at Texas Christian University, as well as a certified HOPE Facilitator through the HOPE National Resource Center at Tufts Medical Center.

Empowering Healing Through Connection

In 2020, I moved to the Bitterroot Valley, Montana, where I have been providing school advocacy and training locally, as well as volunteering and working part-time with local non-profits. I am passionate about helping educators, advocates, and people-serving organizations gain the knowledge and tools to meet the emotional and developmental needs of children. I truly believe that when we know better, we do better!

BRINGING A DIVERSE RANGE OF EXPERIENCE

across various settings, including roles as a teacher, trainer, program manager and developer, and advocate, I offer practical, hands-on strategies for promoting connection and empowerment that are grounded in trauma-informed practices.

My focus is helping adults understand and reframe children's behavior through a trauma-sensitive lens, fostering a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to support their emotional and developmental needs.
